Happy Heart Day

I, personally, am not a big Valentine's Day person.  I think the holiday is fun and I love celebrating it with my kids but I always tell my husband not to give me anything.  I would much rather receive flowers or a gift on a random Wednesday than for him to give me flowers because he is supposed to on Heart Day.  Watching my kiddos have so much fun giving and receiving Valentine's is what is most fun for RT and me.

We started the day with heart shaped donuts and candy treats!  Then we got ready for work and school and headed out the door.

Cole passed out non-candy Valentine's this year.  Super bouncy balls!  He was pumped for school!
After school we met my mom at my sister's house so my mom could give the kiddos their Valentine sussies.

I started a new tradition this year (thank you Pinterest).  I gave both kids bedroom doors a "Heart Attack"!

When daddy got home from work we ate dinner at Tupy's.  Campbell may or may not have eaten queso with a spoon for dinner.
After dinner the kids opened their Valentine sussies from me and RT.

Then we indulged in our super cute cookies and cream ice cream cake for dessert!
And even though I told him not to, I did receive a gift from my honey.  I am going to the Beyonce concert in July!  So Excited! and spoiled too:)

What a fun day we had!  I love to celebrate the big and little things as a family!

Happy Heart Day!

I love Valentine's Day....more now that I have kids!  I love celebrating holiday's, even the smallest one.  We started the day off with a special Heart day breakfast....red velvet pancakes.  ummmm, delicious!!!!!!  Then we got ready for school and took a few pictures of my loves before heading out the door.

Campbell and I ran a few errands before attending Cole's Valentine's Day party at school.  There was bingo and pin the lips on the heart face, lots of sweets and fun!  I love watching him in his element!  He is such a sweet boy!

Cole gave me the Valentine he made me complete with a poem, picture and coupons!  Loved it!
Once daddy got home we opened our sussies and had fun building our new Transformers!

Then my mom came over and gave the kiddos their sussies and I got one too!  The most adorable pillow!
And can you even stand the picture below?!?!  It is a picture of my precious nephew from my sister and oh how I love it!
Thank you everyone for making Heart Day so much fun and so special for the kids!  I hope you felt just as loved as we did!

10 Reasons Why I LOVE my Husband:

1. He is an AMAZING father.
2. He takes me on dates.
3. He takes out the dirty diaper trash.
4. He is smart.
5. He knows me better than anyone.
6. He doesn't care what other people think.
7. He is an extremely hard worker.
8. When he looks me in the eyes he looks all the way to my soul.
9. He is my best friend.
10. He loves me unconditionally.

RT and I celebrated Valentine's day on Saturday because he was going to be at the NBA All-Star game on Sunday. I actually didn't think we were going to celebrate it at all, which I was totally ok with, because our friend Adam was in town for the game and stayed with us all weekend. Well, my wonderful husband surprised me with dinner and a movie anyway. He made arrangements for my in-laws to babysit Cole and Adam stayed with another friend so we could have a date night. I was so surprised and excited! After the terrible week we had had with the stomach bug and RT getting stuck in St. Louis for an extra day because of the weather, we definitely needed some "us" time! We ate a spectacular dinner here:

and saw this:
It was a perfect and much needed night out! Thank you so much honey! I love you!
10 Reasons Why I LOVE my Son:

To celebrate Valentine's day with Cole this year we made and decorated Valentine cookies. He was treated to a special pancake breakfast Sunday morning and was given LOTS of Valentine sussies from us and his grandparents. I'd say he was and is always definitely LOVED!

Our Heart Day

We had a great day on Valentine's Day. I started the day off by making heart shaped pancakes for my boys with lots of strawberries and whipped cream. They loved them!

Then we showered and opened our Valentine sussies. Daddy loved his Valentine's Day card from Cole and yummy cupcakes. I made him a book of all the emails we sent each other when we first met up until we got married. He loved it and it was so fun to read and see how cheesy we used to be!
Cole loved his new books and markers!
I loved the beautiful roses RT had sent to me.
Then my parents and Kori and Jon came over and brought Cole more Valentines sussies. He loved his new books, latch puzzle and plates that my parents got him and his new super ball from Kori and Jon!
My mom brought me sussies too and I love them all!
Then the three of us had a late lunch at Chick-fil-a and headed to my in-laws house so they could babysit Cole while RT and I saw this movie and went to dinner.

We had a fun filled Valentine's Day and are so blessed to have each other!
p.s. I don't want anyone to think that I included pictures of the gifts we got to be braggy. It is just my way of documenting what we received for each holiday so I never forget!
