Happy 1st Father's Day Daddy!!!

The greatest gift I ever had came from God; I call him Dad!
-Author Unknown

RT celebrated his first Father's Day on Sunday. It was yet another family packed day. We started out the day by cooking RT breakfast and just hung out. Because his cousin was married on Saturday a lot of his family was in town so my mother-in-law had everyone over for lunch on not only to celebrate Father's Day but to celebrate a successful wedding and the following birthday's:
6/13/08 Travis' 18th birthday (brother of the bride)
6/14/08 My mother-in-laws 50th birthday (Travis' aunt)
6/15/08 Terri's birthday (Travis' mom and mother of the bride)
6/19/08 My 28th birthday
To say the least there has been a lot of celebrating going on. So, we ate lunch and went to my parent's house to finish celebrating Father's Day by hanging out by the pool and cooking dinner. RT opened his presents which were a wireless guitar for Rock Band and a poem I had framed called "My Daddy's Hand" and I put Cole's hand print under the poem. It is amazing for me to watch Cole and RT together. They have such a special father/son bond already and I can't wait to watch it become even stronger through the years. RT is such an amazing and patient father. Cole is one lucky little boy!

Look at this perfect picture of my boys

The poem reads:

Daddy, take my hand in yours and you will plainly see,

How very much I need you now to love and care for me.

As my little hand grows, I will need you even more,

Everything I do in life, I have never done before.

Teach me to be kind and loving, sharing and forgiving,

Show me through your acts of love the pure joy of living.

The years will pass by quickly and one day I will be grown,

I will pass what you have taught me onto children of my own.

Hold me always in your thoughts and remember me when we are apart,

The special love between a child and a daddy's heart.
