Yummy Christmas Goodies

I have had several people ask me how to make my standard Christmas treats that I usually bring to any Christmas festivities we attend so I thought I would share them with you here. It has become a tradition for me to make these two recipes every year. Let me tell you something...I am happy to make them because both recipes are so super easy but people think I spend a lot of time on them! ANYONE can make these and the only kitchen appliance you need is the microwave....seriously.

I actually don't have a name for either of these so any suggestions would be appreciated...actually, I have a name for one but it isn't very nice and should probably be a little more Christmas related!

#1 Peanut Butter and Crackers Dipped in Chocolate (see, I need help)
1 box of Ritz Crackers
1 jar of creamy peanut butter
2-3 packages of milk chocolate Candy Quick

- Place a dollop of peanut butter on a cracker and top with a second cracker (make a sandwich and I say the more peanut butter the merrier) and place on wax paper.
- Repeat until all crackers are used.
- Melt chocolate in a microwave safe bowl in the microwave until melted (about 2 minutes)
- Place a sandwich in the chocolate and make sure it is coated.
- Using a fork, scoop out the cracker (let the excess chocolate run through the fork) and place back on the wax paper.
- Let chocolate harden before serving.

#2 White Trash (not very nice)
4 c. Rice Chex cereal
4 c. Corn Chex cereal
1 large can of mixed nuts
6 c. pretzels
1 large bag of m&m's (I use red and green)
3-4 packages of white chocolate/vanilla Candy Quick

- I a large bowl combine all ingredients except for the white chocolate.
- In a separate microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate in the microwave (about 2-3 minutes)
- Pour melted chocolate over mixture and carefully coat all ingredients.
- Pour mixture out onto wax paper and let chocolate harden.
- Break into bite size chunks before serving.

So super easy and ADDICTING! Happy eating!

oh these are awesome b/c I'll be needing lots of sweets recipes for get togethers, etc! One question, what is Candy Quick? :)

Candy Quick is the brand name. You can also use Almond Bark. Both are just blocks of chocolate that come in a package NOT a box. You will find them with the chocolate chips.
Those recipes are so easy to make! I hope you like them!

Thanks Lyric! I couldn't find that brand name, but I just got the one I could find. Those lovelies are cooling in the fridge now for Jagger's teachers tomorrow! So easy, and OMG they look delish! i can't wait to have a tester. :)
