WHOA! What a Day at the Lake!

My parents {and their boat neighbors Dave and Lana} have been begging us to come to the lake ALL.SUMMER.LONG so we made the trip to Lake Texoma yesterday for some fun in the sun. RT and Cole would go every weekend if they could...me, not so much. I loath being hot and sweaty which is basically the reason we haven't gone yet. So I took one for the team yesterday and I am glad I did. Cole had so much fun and we LOVED watching him experience new things. Here is everything he did yesterday! He had SO MUCH FUN!

COLE FED THE DUCKS

Lana was so sweet and gave Cole some hot dog buns to feed the ducks of their slip. He thought the ducks were pretty cool and would throw the bread as hard as he could!

COLE CAUGHT 3 FISH

With daddy and Dave's help Cole caught 3 fish using hot dogs as bait. He laughed as the fish would flop around and I am shocked that he touched it because he has a thing about textures and I thought the for sure he wouldn't like how slimy it was but he loved it!

COLE WENT on a BOAT RIDE

After Cole fed the ducks and fished we stocked my parents boat with beverages and snacks and went for a ride. Cole LOVED driving the boat with Gramps and watching the wake from the upper deck on the back of the boat!

COLE JET SKIED

We could not get this kid off the jet ski. He L.O.V.E.D it! I think he would have stayed on that thing with his daddy for the entire day. It took 4 tries before he would get off of it and finally go swimming instead.

COLE WENT SWIMMING in the LAKE

Cole and his daddy just chilled in their life jackets in the lake. Cole would float on his back and kick his legs! He thought that was so funny for some reason!

COLE COOLED OFF in the BABY POOL

After a swim in the not so cool lake, Cole cooled off in Dave and Lana's baby pool {No, Dave and Lana don't swim in this pool but their granddaughters do}. He had fun splashing around and didn't mind that we made him keep his life jacket on the whole time we were there. Better safe than sorry!

Dave is the king of water balloons so he was more then happy to introduce them to Cole. And guess what???......Cole thought they were GREAT!

COLE TOOK A BATH

And finally....after a yummy dinner via Gramps, Cole took a bath where else but the baby pool! My parents have 2 showers on their boat but neither one is conducive for bathing babies or for more than one person for that matter so we decided the baby pool was the best place. And don't worry it is a great place to play with more water balloons too!

WOW! I am worn out just reliving our day at the lake! Once Cole was in his jammies and we were on the road he was out in about 10 minutes and slept in a little bit this morning! Yeah!

Thanks mom and dad for a super fun day! We really do need to come more often!
