We Had A LOT Goin' On

So this past Thursday to Sunday we managed to do a LOT of things. We had so much fun with family and friends that I have to share it ALL with you! Stay with me on this. It is going to be a long post!

Thursday - I ran a bunch of errands with Cole and dropped him off at my in-laws so RT and I could go to the MAVS Playoff game with our friends Jeff and Jessica. The MAVS dominated the game to say the least and Jessica and I had so much fun people watching! I couldn't believe it was only the second game I had been to all season. We have season tickets for cryin' out loud!

Friday - Cole and I met my mom and Kori for lunch and then went to visit my cousin, Leah, in the hospital. She is going to be fine but had a blood clot behind her knee! She is just hanging out until her blood levels reach a certain number and then she can go home! YIKES!

Then Cole and I went to pick up Kori's friend, Lindsay, from Love Field. Lindsay, Jon and I had been scheming for weeks so Lindsay's visit would be a surprise. It was a success! I think you will see from the pictures below just how surprised Kori really was! Mission Accomplished!

And then it was off to my in-laws to have dinner with them and Cole's great grandparents.

Saturday - I met my sister-in-law, her fiance, my mother-in-law and my grandmother-in-law at their wedding site at 10:30. Dee wanted me to be there to help pick out a few things and know how everything would be set up on the BIG day so she wouldn't have to worry about anything. I was HAPPY to help! I would LOVE to be a wedding planner if it didn't take up your Friday and Saturday nights!

Then it was off to the store to pick up a few last minute ingredients for the desserts and appetizers I was taking to the couples shower I was co-hosting for them that night. While I cooked/baked away my boys watched the first half of the MAVS game and then it was off to the shower.

Terri and I had so much fun planning the shower and we think it was a success! Dee and Brandon definitely got some GREAT gifts! {And, rumor has it that my strawberry cake balls, symphony bars and Mexican dip were a success! If you want the recipes, let me know. I do have to give credit to my friend Jessica for the recipes for the symphony bars and Mexican dip. They are both soooo yummy!}

Sunday - Cole was up early and we were outside playing by 9:30. He played in his sand box and threw things for Finn to chase but really loved collecting ladybugs in his bug collector! After our morning of outside fun it was time for lunch and a nap and then off to my parents to see Lindsay before she went back to Chicago and for more outdoor fun! I think Cole might have his first crush! Who could blame him?!

It was a whirlwind weekend but we wouldn't have it any other way. Stay tuned for this week is going to get busy again!
