The Gift of Christmas

Saturday night we had the privilege of attending the Prestonwood Christmas Spectacular.  We were invited by our family friends, the Searcey's.  The Searcey's are basically family and some of my most favorite people.  My dad and Johnny have been best friends since high school so our families have been best friends since before I was born!  They had extra tickets to the performance and thought Cole would really enjoy it!  So sweet of them to think of us!  So, Cole got a special night out.  We dropped Campbell off at my parents and met Johnny, Lynn and Ryan for dinner before the show.  Then it was off to Prestonwood for the show.  RT and I had been before but it was before Cole was born.  I knew the show was awesome and knew Cole would love it!

Seriously, if you live in the area you must get tickets for the show next year.  It is phenomenal!  There is singing and dancing, light shows and awesome graphics.  The best part is the live nativity!  Angels fly over the crowd, camels bring in the three wise men and there are also sheep, horses, donkeys, zebras and birds.  The costumes are amazing.  They really do put on a fantastic show.  I highly recommend it!

Cole loved the first half which is all about Santa, reindeer, Frosty, fun songs, lots of dancing and cute kids performing their little hearts out on stage.  He got a little antsy during the choir portion but I loved it.  They sang beautiful Christmas songs and the soloists were crazy good!  Then he perked back up during the most important part of the show, the Nativity.  It is so moving and they perform the story so well.
Our night would not have been complete if Johnny and Cole didn't get some ice cream so we made a little ice cream stop before heading home.  It was a late night but Cole was such a trooper and crashed in the car on the way home!
Thank you Johnny, Lynn and Ryan for such a fun and memorable evening!
