After counting down the days starting in October, November 9th was finally here! Cole turned 5!! I can't believe it! It was like Christmas morning. Cole was up and ready to start the day at 5:00 AM! We ate Cole's favorite breakfast...donuts, duh! After showers I packed lunches and we headed to the Zoo with Mimi, Gramps, Nanette and Poppy. What better way to spend your 5th birthday?!
Once inside the zoo we ate our picnic lunches in peace until we were attacked by bees and were literally running to throw our stuff away. Cole was not a fan but thankfully no one was stung!
Then we were off. First stop was the children's area where we fed fish, saw goats, pigs and Cole rode a horse for the very first time! He was a little unsure at first but was so brave and loved it!
Then Mimi got in the birdcage and fed the birds! So fun! Cole thought it was awesome!
Campbell spent most of the trip asleep but woke up just in time for the giraffes! They are still Cole's favorite part of the zoo. He absolutely loves feeding them....Campbell not so much.
The kids' other favorite animals were the cheetahs and the tigers!
After a long day at the zoo we rested at home before going to the birthday boys dinner of choice, tortillas with cheese at Rosa's. Kori, Jon and Gray joined us for dinner before we all headed to our house for cake and presents where Aunt Dee and Uncle Brandon joined us!
What a day! Cole is such a lucky boy to have so many people in his life that love him so much!

Love love seeing this post! HARD TO BELIEVE our boys are 5 (well, Jagger is still 4 for another week +, I'll try not to rub it in, hehe). Love seeing the presents he got as a big 5 year old, love all of the zoo pics, and Cole's cool 5 shirt. Y'all are all just the cutest people. :) Happy 5th Cole!!! (tear)
Kate, the donuts are from Allen Donuts at 75 and McDermott right next door to Chuck E Cheese. They taste great and I ordered a dozen for $12.50!
Paige, You are so sweet! I cannot believe the boys are 5 either!! Crazy! Cannot wait to see Jagger's birthday pics!
