Plane, Amarillo, 80 years old, TECH, Day Light Savings

We had another busy weekend and a lot of "firsts" for Cole. He celebrated his first Halloween on Friday night and then he went on his first plane ride at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday morning {and yes, I said 7:00 a.m. which means we left our house at 5:15 a.m.}. We were flying to Amarillo for his great grandmother's 80th Birthday. Flying with a baby is not bad when you have the perfect child like we do. You would have thought Cole had been on hundreds of planes. We checked our suite case and car seat with no trouble, made it through security with a stroller, a purse, a diaper bag, a toy bag, a laptop, a baby and a mommy and daddy with no trouble. Then we sat at the gate for 45 mins with no trouble, loaded the plane, took off, landed and exited the plane without a hitch. Cole actually slept through half the flight and thought the tray tables on the back of the seats were pretty cool. Once we landed in Amarillo it was off to his Great Grandma Stella and Great Grandpa Walter Lee's house for yummy breakfast and great conversation before we headed over to RT's aunt and uncle's house were we had a great lunch and hung out with family and Great Grandma Blanche who turned 80 years old on Halloween. Then Saturday night we all went to eat at a really nice Italian restaurant and ate yummy birthday cake! After dinner we went home and watched TECH beat UT and went to bed. Some of us slept while others were kicked, rolled onto and forced to sleep on the very edge of the bed before being woken up at 3:00 by their baby, who was sleeping in the middle, cried for 30 minutes and woke up the whole house before falling back asleep.....and darn that day light savings time. It used to be the greatest thing but once you have a baby it is the enemy. Anyway, great grandma Stella cooked us another yummy brunch and then off to the airport again. The flight went just as smooth and we made it home safe and sound. Now all we have to do is work on our new schedule with the time change and we will be good to go.

Happy 80th Birthday Blanche! We love you!
